CUJ dominates 10th JSWC


Ranchi, Sep 18: The Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) has dominated the 10th Jharkhand State Wushu Championship (JSWC), which was held recenrtly.

The CUJ Wushu team participated in the 10th JSWC held on September 14 last winning  1 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.


Dansih Rahman bagged Gold while Pramod Kumar Rana, Raj Kumar and Sonhan Bhagat got silver medals followed by Srikant Venulari, Ashutosh Kumar, Nimish Kumar and Om Prakash won bronze.


Vice chancellor Prof A N Misra congratulated the winners and handed over the medals and certificate to them.


Prof Misra said the players brought laurels to the university and hoped that they would try to compete at national and international level.


According to the results, five players qualified (subject to final selection) for the different championships like Federation Cup (Hyderabad), Sanshou Cup (Manipur), Senior National Wushu Championship (Patna) and National Games (Patna).
